A far more efficient way of saving money and keeping our troops in service is to make a headcount of all the central government and local government climate change advisors and diversity officers and make them redundant.
This two-pronged approach would help to kill off some of the green propaganda which has infiltrated our lives (armies of wheelie bins as an example) and save us lots of wonga.
What's not to like?

Jan, your first sentence is not in dispute. With respect to the second, there is a chicken & egg argument to be had.
