Freemen's Way, two cars have now been removed by police.
The missing girl is a friend of my grandson's friend so it has touched bit of a nerve in our family, so distant but also far to close. I hope Sarah is ok but it does not look good for the poor girl, I really feel for her family and friends.

We have issued an update on the #SarahEverard investigation.
A man in his 40s was arrested on Tuesday 9th March on suspicion of kidnap.
Today, he has been further arrested on suspicion of murder and a separate allegation of indecent exposure.

Met police have started damage limitation: on classic FM they have been opening with 'the arrested officer was not on duty at the time of Sarah's disappearance,' like that makes any bloody difference.

They could be a long time if they intend to look through all the tunnels up there.

Sickening and troubling.
Also telling regarding our inverted relation between the state and the individual and the direction we're headed.

What happened to Sarah was awful and should not have happened.
I do not know what Covid reason Couzens gave maybe it was entirely plausible. Surely the vast majority of the public would allow or leave the police to do their job rather than interfere unless they are on the wrong side of the law.
A few years ago I witnessed someone being apprehended and quietly and politely moved into a doorway to be searched so I continued to walk on, it never entered my head to do anything else.

Thank goodness a fully justified sentence of 'whole life' for this evil man, who has not only ruined Sarah's family and close friends lives but also caused the police to suffer from even more distrust for many.
