are not part of this regeneration proposal.
Firstly, I don't play the lottery, DHB couldn't afford to invest in the Heights, and as for the Israeli Bank, Western Heights is England, not the West Bank.
Until recently, it has been a common argument on the W.H. thread that not to fund the Scheduled Ancient Monument would lead to its decay. This has been my view for a long time, and for this reason I have been working for decent funding for regeneration, which would also include Western Heights.
I am optimistic and waiting for a favourable reply.
It was evident, that no-one making a decision for Dover's regeneration could make a pondered decision, without knowing some basing facts about Dover's real needs.
Surely they would have to know, among other things, that there is a Scheduled Ancient Monument in Dover.
Unless people are made aware of our reality, how could they make a decision for us?
Did anyone else present to them a basic outline of Dover's needs?
So, if I am not working against you, Paul, in what I presented, then surely we can agree that we're on the same side.
But if this all turns out to be a failure, then there would be no point anymore.
