Just think of the photo opportunity Dave, Cllr Nicholas could lead a DDC delegation on a business support visit...

Nice idea Paul, is the Council limousine available?
DDC and business support eh? With 1 or 2 exceptions they are terrified to leave the ivory tower lest a local taxpayer should ask them to justify what they do for their overinflated salaries and benefits.
Officers Hill and Charles are often to be seen around town, the others suffer from collective agrophobia

I'll take that as the tongue-in-cheek comment I hope it was intended as Sue...

This thread most definitely does not read terribly well from the guys running the market.
look at it...some PR skills might be needed here. It looks terrible.
Might it not be a better idea to try and work with people rather than use the forum to be entirely smart arsey at other peoples expense.
I would imagine Sue does indeed have a bus pass...like many of us..whats that got to do with anything?

I have a great sense of humour .David yes entitled to it by age .I use a bus pass instead of taxis to get to council meetings .I do a lot of net working on the busses.

Lighten up Paul, Cllr Nicholas says she supports Stagecoach when she has a free bus pass, I wasn't questioning her entitlement or what she does on bus trips.
You going to the market today Paul?

No ..was there last week at 9.53 and there were only a few stalls. Maybe I was too early..saw you carrying boxes down Castle St.
It could possibly do with a bit more promoting..you might like to look at how you do that. Spending a lot of time on the forum with considerable negativity is not the best way forward.. maybe out with leaflets etc is more productive.

Well herein lies a problem Paul, 3 weeks ago 20000 leaflets were distributed, 10 banners and dozens of posters. As Howard said last week everybody in Dover is aware that Tuesday is market day.
The town team don't personally benefit in any way from the market, we are simply doing our bit to help.
When you say there were only a few stalls last week I'm really not sure what you mean, we had in excess of 20.

Either Paul got out of bed the wrong side or he needs an early night! When we were grumpy as kids, my mum used to say....joyful nights and sorrowful mornings!!

Which Paul do you mean Pauline??? PaulB or Paul Isles although I think I can guess which one got out of the wrong side but then we all have our off days.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

maybe you need to advertise in Deal, Folkestone and the villages. Most Parishes have a mag which charge very little for ads, rarely if anything, for a letter.
