Just to let everyone know that I have arranged a Mass to be said for Marek at his old parish church, St Pauls in Dover. It is next Sunday 29th January at 11am. Anyone who wants to come along is more than welcome. I have already been in touch with Marites, she is pleased to hear about this and we know that Marek would have liked it too.
Lovely,Colette. A lovely gesture and I am sure it would have been appreciated.

What a lovely photo of Marek and Natascha, I remember that day. I spent many happy times with Marek at St Pauls and having coffee with him and his Family after mass in the church social centre.
See you there Howard and hopefully you too Roger if you can make it on the day.

I was intending to go, but this morning saw me having to sort out some problems for Jean's Mum and as she's in her 93rd year, that had to take precedence I'm afraid.
I would have loved to have attended as I had a lot of time for Marek - a good guy, sadly missed.
Hope the service was a good one.

Just to let everyone know that it was a lovely Mass for Marek, the priest said some kind words for him and I'm sure that Marek would have liked it.
Howard, it was nice of you to come along, sorry that you couldn't make it Roger but understand that you needed to be there for Jean's Mum. We also saw Vic and Lesley there.
I will send the Mass card to Marites and Natascha from all Marek's friends here at Doverforum.

Sadly I was sat at the back of the church and missed what was said about Marek, this being my first mass and not being a regular church goer, I was waiting for a mention of Merek but must have missed it.
However it was a lovely service and a lovely church and of course the people I spoke to were very friendly.
Still sad though, I never met Marek and I really wished I had but I will always remember him.

the name was mentioned right at the start gary and not again.
i think that when a mass is said for somebody it is just a normal service with a name given to it.

The best thing about it Howard was that you were there. These things are not a way of buying a name into the prayers etc. "Marek is my saviour, I shall not want..." style. Oh no.
I am sure if Marek has his cloud he would be appreciative of the good thoughts put into action by the attendance of those who knew him, no matter how slightly.
Well done each & all.

Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.
Tom, lovely and right. And Marek was a guy worth remembering.
