Bob has gone off on one in the Politics Forum, so best to raise the subject where more people can contribute. It is generally accepted that the Roman Painted House should have been better presented to visitors over the years and should really be a must see for visitors but what about the Roman lawn which I am told by many should be excavated to discover the wonders below.

The Town hall which should be open to the public more often is hoping for funding in the future to stop parts of it falling to bits. The proposed holiday lets will be a big boost to the town in general and the restaurants and pubs nearby. Maison Dieu house is a very interesting building inside and In find it surprising there are not regular guided tours.

The fortifications up the Western Heights are owned by English Heritage who are much more interested in their cash cow castle so it is down to the goodwill of volunteers to protect and promote them. All that is off of the top of my head, hopefully others will have their views.
