I didnt get there names, although the lady was the liberty lady who pops up everywhere
but the bloke i didn't know.
they both homed in on the mouse.
the fear the bloke had was the tory party lurch to the right
cameron trying to please his party members, but not concerning himself about the public at large.
what do you think??

Not a mention of the TUC organised rally, but lots of Westminster Village stuff. The telescope of Politics is still viewed through the wrong end.The difficulties of our neighbours, near and far, and their opportunities, deserve attention too.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

I really dont quite understand what you are saying there Keith.
Are you suggesting that some people are saying that the government is moving to the right?
If so then that has to be good for the country but, sadly, that is too much to hope for.

#5 - Yes, at least you are realistic in that your aspirations not being fulfilled either!!!! The simple fact is that British politics is all about compromise anyway, it is needed for a majority to be achieved, so no one of us will get all our own way. Pity, the economy will mend a lot quicker if the government could get rid of the brakes applied to doing what is needed to speed recovery, as represented by Cable and his like.
What on earth is all this 'coming out' bull? So what.... you may regard anyone expressing 'right' views as evil incarnate, in the same way I utterly despise the 'left' for their repeated failures from which the poor suffer the most. Are you trying then to intimidate people into not disagreeing with you? It is not working.

You know Reg I make it a rule to avoid talking politics at all cost, threads like this confirm why.
You don't wish to discuss why Ed was booed or even why he shouldn't be, you simply want to throw abuse.
I'll try with you the same as I try with Keith, I'll ask a direct question:
What have I come out as?
PS I've asked Keith about 6 questions and for some reason he's never answered one of them.

Oops, misunderstood the thread title, thought it was about illegal hunting with a certain breed of dog

Turns out it is party political (obviously not all posters on this thread have a party political agenda).

It would have been more interesting if it had been about The Adams Family or even a lurcher dog.

Keith!
If the Government was lurking to the right, I'm sure it would have computed a u-turn to the left.

UK Unemployment news over the last few days makes news from Spain where unemployment has risen to 25 % ( 1 in 4 )
more alarming as it is blamed on a `Plan A` austerity programme like ours...................................

Its the way you tell 'em Reg....
People should actually look at the real cause of Spain's problems. Excessive government borrowing and spending exacerbated by an ill-conceived currency union that embeds a lack of economic competitiveness.
The Spanish government has its hands tied behind it back in dealing with the problem. It cannot restore competitiveness by devaluing their currency and in part inflating their debts and deficit away.
We, at least, have had a floating currency to take some of the strain, we just need deeper and faster public spending cuts and a reduction in the tax burden and red tape burden to get the UK economy improving faster.

Jean's daughter lives and works in Palma, Majorca and has been there for several years; she has always said that the wastage of the previous socialist government is what caused the deficit they now have, so much money was simply wasted on very expensive stupid/pointless projects.

Barry, if the tax burden were reduced, the budget deficit would rise significantly, and the interest on the national debt couldn't be paid for either. It would be a recipe to economic disaster.
