15:3175893Jan, lovely to meet you this morning and I enjoyed the pleasant chat. I`ll be heading that way more often now. I`ve got all those items ready for you, and I`m sure I`ll find some more. Anybody else on here who`d like to meet Jan, you know where she is, and any good items to dispose of she`ll accept most gratefully. Thanks again Jan.

18:1075926I was lovely to meet you Colin and thankyou very much for the donations they will be collected on Tuesday as we discussed. Yes, we had a good chat this morning inspite of those blessed customers interupting us.
Go back to post #15 Howard.

Why bother I'll tell you, I work Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning, but Thursday is the best day for a chat as the manageress is not there.

14:1176721Jan, I was going to look in this morning and say hello again, but there were a number of people in there so I gave it a miss, but funnily enough, had I come in there, I`d have headed back to town afterwards and missed the local art exhibition further up which I`ve just threaded. Hope the items your shop collected this morning were okay, and be in again soon.

14:4476725Colin, thank you for the donation, they were just unloading the bus when I left.
We had two other forumites in this morning, both spent money, so thankyou to the two of you as well. That now makes three of you lovely people that I have met, I just hope I recognise you all again if I meet you in the street.

17:4176911That was me Howard, I bought a mint condition book called "Practical Projects for your PC" for £2.50 plus I was able to meet the lovely Jan. She said that you had been in earlier. I must reccommend the shop as it has some lovely books in good condition on the shelves at good prices.
I had to go to Peter St. Surgery to see the nurse and thought that I would walk into the town and view the photos of old Dover in the old Sainsburys window. What a difference they make, congratulations to all involved. I can see the likeness to posh Barry in the photo of the gentleman having his shoes shined.

.
I noticed quite a few Filipino crew members about, I believe that there were two Fred Olsens ships in dock. I didn't venture to the seafront as the weather wasn't very good. I only managed to get as far as the Funky Monkey.

07:5377003Keith, if you want the higher wattage ones, have you tried Poundstretcher or B&Q they sell light bulbs, maybe Brighthouse sell them.
I was looking at the bulbs that people have donated the other day and all the low energy ones were the free give aways, so we haven't any higher wattage ones at the moment.
