Yesterday at crabble lost again and are now 4 points behind chelmsfordhaving played the same amount of games.
with just 5 games to go, the 5th place spot is looking bleak, and now in the hands of chelmsford having to drop points.
dover appears to have reached it's level, but the future of the club is probably at stake now.
As I'v stated before the chair of the board and the club itself have ambitions for football league status which is great, and it appears the chair tried to buy the club promotion, that appears to have backfired.
the problem will be at the end of the season if sadly dover dont get that 5th place spot, will the players stay? none are local, and of course most would want to play at a far higher level.
if players leave, how will they be replaced with gates falling and little money have to be a standard to at least hold on to present league status.
Although it's not all doom and gloom as there still is an outside chance of chelmsford getting nervous and slipping up
but dover footy needs to plan a long term solution in light of the worst senario.
