Peter, maybe you've taken this topic too personally.
I was trying to keep a birds-eye view of what is evolving on the chess board, rather than advocating personally construed justice.
Hosni Mubarak and family (4 persons all counted) are said to be worth possibly $70 billion, spread out in banks in Egypt and the world, including Britain.
Switzerland has already frozen the Mubaraks' bank assets.
The former president of Egypt sits in prison while on trial for a number of things, including illegally amassing wealth and property.
Who'd have thought it even 1 year ago?
Don't think for one instant, Peter, that people taking part in the transfer of illegally obtained wealth are free from indictment. If the transfer of such wealth came about with the collusion of bankers... the laws are already in place and were at the time.
The law always has been strict on such matters.
So plenty remains to be seen, and don't forget, Peter, that even men who once stood high and spoke loud, ruling their own country, suddenly fell with a crash, as last year's spate of Arab uprising should prove.
All these men had one thing in common: they all took for granted that they dictated the laws and the constitution and had rights to amass wealth and luxury galore.
Something similar to the bankers.
Now give this some thought Peter and let the Law take its own course. All that is hidden will be unearthed, and that which was in the dark will be revealed.
Night night, now
