they were out in force today, spoke briefly to mr brigden and listened to stephen rowlstone(the agent, i think).
stephen can talk for england, very interesting though, much better to hear the political people speak than read leaflets
and media stuff.
stephen is our newest member.
I chatted with Stephen too, charming and informative. I was a little disappointed that the man himself was not there when I saw them, and that real information was a little low on the horizon, but I was glad for the opportunity to engage. And glad to see he has joined the forum. Welcome, Stephen!!

Do you really think that you and your party can withdraw us from the EU?.No chance. The Conservatives under Ted Teeth sorry Heath took us in and we have to accept it.
Why not look at making a real change by advocating equal pay for women, allowances for stay at home mothers, free child care for all ,free nursery places (just to mention isolated cases)a freeze on VAT but an increase on tax for bank bonuses. I could go on but need to cook the meal for the family.

As I have said before UKIP have avery full Manifesto for the U.K. coming out of the EU is just one part of it,Ido not have time now to read it all out to you now,but just to take one part of your post,Vat.Looking at the UKIP Manifesto now it has this wrote down.
you can download the full Manifesto on the UKIP Webb site.
Replace the EUs Value Added Tax(VAT) WITH A "local Sales Tax"(LST), collected in the same way,but with a proportion going direct to councils so that local authorities raise at least half their income from local taxes.
Cut council tax by scrapping EU laws like the landfill tax that cost every district council on an averageof £3million p.a. as well as culling non-jobs and political correctness.

i go across and chat to all candidates just out of good manners.
they put their head on the chopping block whilst the likes of me would not be so brave.
But your name isn't Jack Howard; you'd need to buy Howieboots, aka Howitzers!
Marek,

couldn't agree more.

Thanks
I get really cheesed off by folk who promise the earth but give you *uck all.A peoples popular party is what we need.Accountable and willing to have their head caved in if they break their election pledges.

Apologies for the above late night Saturday evening posting.I meant no offence to any local candidate but sometimes my emotions and 'Old Stomper'Real Ale get the better of me. If its any consolation..the wife is not speaking to me either...

It's a thought though - candidates who volunteer to have a bit of a bashing if they don't come up with the goods and promises...........now, where did I put those stocks.................?

It could be noted that the Lib-Dems have overtaken the Conservatives on the facebook poll.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that National or local? I was very unimpressed with the local showing by the Ljb Dems...........
