Lib/Dems begin their attempt to separate themselves from tory policies of ill-conceived policies and cut backs with policy from Gordon Brown`s watch.
Clegg vows ( Pledge ?? ) Ossie will not be able to axe 50p tax.
Danny boy employs 2200 more tax inspectors to hunt down 350,000 with £ 2,500,000.,being assisted by expensive finance johnies not paying their fair share....Surprise Surprise.
Danny says we must be seen to be ``All in this together``
He must think Joe Public came down in the last shower!!!
The horse has bolted and Danny thinks closing the gate will bring Lib/Dems back in favour..............Naah!!

reg;
and already they are looking to u turn and head towards in stead to a mansion tax(not costed)
house building;
clegg today unhappy at time it takes to get a planning approval through council, in reality should this become govt policy, is you and i will run roughshod and green sites built on. clegg didnt deny today that green sites may not be used.
the lib dems have had there time, its all just a matter of time before the quietly go off into the wilderness.
apart from being humilated at the polls at the next general election, the boundary changes will affect a lot of liberal mp's to.
the knves are out for clegg.
for me its who will go first,, THE 3 C'S
CLEGG
CAMERON
OR CARTER

#2 made me laugh! Libdems are over - no-one with any sense or heart will trust them again after the tuition fees, apart from everything else. A generation of students betrayed by a bunch of yellow eejits. Glibdems should and will be flushed away with the rest of the waste.

How the mighty have fallen. It is interesting to see Labour baying for Liberal blood when you consider that it was a deal with the Liberals, way back in 1908, that got them their very first 29 seats in parliament. Some of us still recall the Lib-Lab pact as well. Oh to be a fly on the wall at cabinet meetings.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Actually, I was referring to it rather than "using" it and it could have been any Vic in the world. It might not have been anything to do with you at all but out of respect for sensitive feelings...............

history is a funny thing.
no matter what the lib dems do they will only be remembered for there calls prior to the election on tutition fees, only to get into govt and betray there own voters, who wont forgive them.
simon hughes who i have time for is often in line with peoples thinking has now gone along the party line on tutition fees.
they will have a very difficult job leading up to the next general election
they were only ever a protest party will be interesting to see where there votes end up

My point Keith; a hundred years ago the Libs were the power and Labour were the 'protest group'. It only took one election to change it all.

your correct chris, but times over the years have seen labour gain support
whilst the lib dems remain very static in suppport or recently polls show them in decline

I am sure the Libs used to be that comfortable as well. One election with the right national mood and the two party system could be the Greens and The Monster Raving Loonies.

Vic's song is Wandering Star sung by Lee Marvin from the film 'Paint Your Wagon'. It came out as a single in December 1969 and went to number one in the last week of that month (and won me a ten pound bet - equal to a weeks wages at the time). The B- side had Clint Eastwood singing, "I Talk to the Trees."
I wonder who told Labour they were dreaming in 1907, must have been a few.

they have not increased there number of mp's for many many a year
and at next electuion with boundary changes and selling out

Howard, surely you remember the Shifting Whispering Sands by Eamond Andrews or any of Tony Blackburn's efforts. And the winner for worst record ever has to be Skinhead O'Conner's, Nuffink Compares 2 U.
