Oooh I do like this thread. Ok, here's moi channeling my best 'Sloane ranger' attire and Princess Di haircut. I remember it took hours to achieve with the aid of two different hairdryers, half a bottle of mousse and an entire can of hairspray!!

I wish I had a few photos from my youth - I was quite nice then! It would be nice, as a round and wrinkled middle aged housewife, to have a few reminders of some of the easier on the eye times! Perhaps I could just post some Diana Dors pics and dream.............

Im not sure whats happening there...it may be larger than 2MB which is the maximum. Otherwise they usually work easily enough. Either reduce the size of it or send it hot foot to me and I will put it up for you. We all really wanna see it now after this big build up!!lol
I dont think I have a pic of myself as a teenager otherwise I'd be up so I would. I have a pic of meself as a child though on O'Connell Bridge snapped by one of those street photographers..thats something you dont see anymore. They used to give you a card and you called if you wanted the picture they had just snapped.

When I was a teenager "digital" referred to fingers!! I don't have any "proper" pictures going back that far - not even in black & white I don't think.

Actually the photo is of an Irish/American Franciscan Priest who has lived in Japan since 1958.I was trying to trace an old friend,a Catholic Japanese Priest of the same Order who lived with our family in the 60's whilst a Novice waiting to take his vows,Otho Watari was his name.He was ordained by the Pope John23rd at St Peters Rome .Anyway thats how I came across the above photo.

Hi BuddyG ...here we are...with the picture of that good looking lad there, the young BuddyG. Glad you sent it over and I enjoyed your amusing email. The problem was that the picture was over 2MB large. I reduced it to 640 pixel width and here we are...
Aaarrrgh ! scary that picture of the PaulB dopleghanger further above..I am now of course incognito with a beard...but only bcause Im trying to avoid that barbill!!

Hard to think that it was over 30yrs ago - a very different world then - Beatles were still all alive, Lennon was shot dead 12months later - a PMT was a photo-mechanical-transfer and not part of a monthly cycle - printing a page was done by offset and if you wanted a photocopy of a document you had to go to Xerox and submit your paper item to a machine the size of a chip-shop fryer!

Here's one taken of me in Germany in 1967, aged 6. I call it my 'Hitler Youth' photo, and for some reason I'm not sure of, it was given to my Grandmother as a Christmas present. She must still be turning in her grave remembering it.......

I don`t think any artist today could match it. 1922 vintage.
