Indeed good news, but Boulogne must be missing the Brits already and those Brits who love Boulogne, will be missing that too.
It's a pity that LD can't bring forward their scheduled start to Boulogne, to January or February too.
There's a Ferry company in Ramsgate that sails to Ostend and that's a four hour journey; it does well for freight traffic and also takes cars, but the schedule does not allow for a day-trip, so you'll have to allow extra time and money. This will be the same for Dieppe - if people have the money to stay overnight, it will help Dieppe enormously.
Now, all we have to do is go to Dieppe and tell them all about Dover and what we have here - historic sites, museums, attractions and of course, accommodation.
But who's going to do that, who's even thought of it ?
