Will flak jackets be provided on the night for the speakers, or will they bring their own?

It's detailed on the thread "DTIZ" Keith on which you have posted!
In case you missed it here's the relevant part:-
"Although many questions have been raised here, I'm sure you have plenty more. So who better to address them than the Chief Executive of Dover District Council, Nadeem Aziz, who will be guest speaker at the next London Road Community Forum meeting and will host a question and answer session purely on the regeneration of Dover.
If you would like to participate, please come and join us at 6.30pm on Tuesday 12th May at the King's Hall, London Road."

See you there, Terry.
Saw a poster advertising the meeting in the Park Inn on Saturday night. Good to see a bit of publicity at last.
Let's hope we hear some good news, such as concrete timescales for the DTIZ redevelopment etc, rather than just more words words words and flashy Powerpoint presentations.

i think that andrew is being a bit over optimistic there.
there should be a good turn out, it is very well advertised.
as for dates?no chance, the blame will be put firmly at the feet of the property owners in the zone.
i would be interested to know the situation regarding compulsory purchase orders.

So would a lot of people Howard; some properties that adjoin the development site haven't yet been contacted by the developers and they will have CPO's.

In my opinion a waste of time.
Direct questions with no real answers.
The meeting started with a short film about regeneration and Dovers future and it all looks nice and rosey for our children and grandchildren.
Target date 2035.
I ended the meeting by saying it all looks very nice but we can't even look after what weve got now. Most of the questions related to the present and not the furure. I'm sure Terry or Collette will elaborate more.
Roger. your e-mail was read and the reply was, your a councillor take it up and sort it out and push it forward.

Last nights LRCF meeting was well attended with at least 60 people in the audience, with many voicing their concerns in the Q & A session that followed the presentation. The CEO for DDC Nazeem Aziz was in attendance to answer these questions, but unfortunately although very co-operative, he didn't seem to have answers to many of the questions that were coming from the floor. The one positive answer he gave was with regard to Morrisons, that it was definite, with the expected date of completion towards the end of November this year.
Inevitably there were many questions about the DTIZ development which has been going on now for at least 11 years, Mr Aziz pointed out that he has been in his position for 5 years now and in his view there will not be an answer to the outcome of the development for at least another 18 months. He said that the way forward is largely dependent on ASDA/Walmart, but that we are closer now than we have ever been before.
There was a lot of discussion covering many familiar topics with regard to improving Dover and moving forward. When the expected date of 2035 for completion of Dover's regeneration was mentioned, an audible gasp from the audience was heard.... a particularly poignant moment.
