- I miss the Manston-Edinburgh flight! They also did a good Dublin run.

 - One minute we're talking about climatic change, the next minute it's how to expand airports.
Surely there MUST be a contradiction somewhere along the line?

 - The Manston - Edinburgh route still operates Bern, it was Manchester they stopped and introduced Belfast, not sure that Belfast will be a succes with the troubles starting up again.

Some reasonably priced European destinations would go down well I'm sure, but the emphasis has to be on reasonably priced.

We should be giving people at the other end of the routes a reason to come here, we seem to be good at getting people to fly/sail away, but not come in this direction - hence the importance of leaflets about the area, whether "Discover Dover" or some other one.

 - Eujet proved there was demand for destinations in Europe from Manston, particularly for leisure flights to the sun. They just expanded too quickly and their business model was flawed.

 - Exactly Kevin.

I know Infratil don't want ti expand too quickly and make the same misakes as EUJET did, but it does need extra routes.

 - If it is the Dave Atkin's bus (es), then it goes from the cruise terminal to the Market Square, up to the Castle, back to the cruise terminal, Market Square etc.

Last year Dave had a concession to sell Dover Castle entrance tickets on his bus; good initiative and great for Dave and EH, but not much good for the Town and the places here.
There is so much to see up at the Castle, including refreshments, there'd be no need for passengers to come into Town - some do of course, but it must be diminished numbers.

 - Shame they can't get their hands on an original London routemaster bus - I'm sure that would be a big draw for the cruise passengers. This is a good initiative, but I wonder what the passengers getting off the bus in the market square think from first impressions? The building that used to house the job centre is a disgrace. At least the fountain is now working!
