We are cleaning up the memberlist getting ready for some changes coming in the autumn.
Always a pity to do it as we prefer people to post, but we have lopped 10 off the list as either they were not posting now or have never bothered to post at all. We are a club for posters only and are following our usual policy. We hope to retain the clubhouse feel by keeping the club at a level of 120 or so. But ideally of course the 120 will be active posters...currently we are at 128.. down from 138.
All we ask is that posters post, otherwise we give the membership to someone else who wants to post.

Were I to keep posting would I not run the danger of creating a-fence?

Please don't delete me Paul. Have only just fixed up my phone/Broadband in France and things are hectic. Trouble is our social life gets in the way of unpacking. Your lovely photo of the White Cliffs made me feel quite homesick. Hope to have more time to post in future now that I am an official retired wrinkly.

It is a great shame that with so many members so few actually bother to post even once a week, I wonder why.

Got to say I have nothing to contribute to the political threads.

Some of my best posts are the ones I delete before uploading - though I enjoy typing them out and seeing them on screen!

Three of us, even when bored I no longer bother to read them.

i often wonder why people join forums if they have no opinion to offer, we have a very wide range of sujects here and everyone is welcome to start a thread on what is of interest to them.

Perhaps some people are put off by the response they receive?

I don't do politics either but I do chip in on photos, funnies and odd things.

More than likely Kathy.
I occasionally do the same Ray, very good for getting something off your chest so to speak.

i'm not following your logic kathy, most people that have been deleted never posted once so they could not have a response that they didn't like.

Obviously not talking about people who have never posted.

so why do people join then, people look in and see what the forum is like for quite a time beforehand.

Now then, now then, now then. It's not as if we join together around a 'Sh!-wadi-wadi', now is it?
There is nothing wrong;nothing wrong with looking-in and not looking-in, posting and not posting etc. etc.
It makes no sense expecting people here or out in the wide-world to get everything right...even some of the time. We each have failings, we each are but human.
PaulB, does get his trusty scythe out from time to time, but he does so in his civvies, not in a gloomy hooded cloak.
Talking of 'cloaks', perhaps it is best, here and in life, to check the Ego at the door.
