Whoever buys it, I hope they are of benefit to the whole local area. Should there be a change of use with such a beautiful peaceful setting it would make a wonderful convalescent home, hospice or rehabilitation centre for those of any age.

Luxury hotel and fine dining restaurant would be my choice, we've only the Marquis at Alkham at present.

There is that one just outside St Margaret's Reg, forget its name, but costs an arm and a leg to eat or doss down there.

As far as Kearsney Manor goes, I think a big issue will be traffic-related. At the moment there can't be much traffic in or or but if it became a hotel or got converted into apartments, that could be an issue.

The last three posters miss the point .If. there are problems on the A2 more traffic flows along the Alkham Valley, this creates a bottle neck at the Kearsney Railway bridge and it then becomes difficult to get in and out of River.River is also used as a rat run .
With the problems created by people parking for the Abbey,Football matches and with only the two exits out of River when Planning Applications are considered these ,problems should be considered.
