At long last the warmer weather has arrived, and after a walk along the prom this morning, I went out to Kearsney Abbey and Bushy Ruff in search of a thread, to hopefully get rid of your Winter blues, (and mine).

I`m sure I recognise the bird on the left, but not the white headed species on the right.

Another at Bushey Ruff, in pleasant sunshine. Quite a bit of flooding about, and the river overflowing in a number of places.

Any info on this beautiful old house out Bushey Ruff, sadly in need of some expensive restoration? Half the roof has perished.

Colin Bushey Ruff my part of the world, they are the swans I feed by hand, next time you come over please ring me and I will come with you,as for the house it was burn down not perished most was a new roof,I have been trying to get that done up for years I have all the cutouts about it in the papers at that time, again it was the planning dept that stoped and more then once the rebuilding of the house, now it will stay that way till it falls down. I was up there last year and saw the plans but again turned down.Nothing will get done in Dover till we get a new planning dept.

Thank you Vic. Just like the railways perhaps, of letting a building fall into decay to give a stronger case for it`s demolition, thus saving on restoration etc, or so it appear`s to me through my railway knowledge. Don`t know how old this one is?

Not this one Colin, the owner was going to do it up,most of the wood inside was new,it was going to be very nice flats with more put on the side and all the gardens done up he has put in no less than 5 plans for it and there is a big cost to just to that. I have been up there time and time again, last time I was up there with him.he said I have done what the planning dept have asked for time and time again,if they turn it down again then it will stay as it is,that was last year, and now we all can see it now even had a fire now.
It is a listed building.
