  on the subject of celebrities ryan giggs got his gagging order on the basis of his image as a family man, i suppose his sister in law can confirm that to be the case now.

  Andrew, I wasn't joking in my post. I only wrote that some lawer will probably try to make a cynical excuse, and that I hope the Police can get to find any further evidence required to discover the intentions of the two people held in custody.
  
  If they were planning something evil, they should get to know the full length of the law. It's nothing I would make a crack about.

  Any 'celebrity' whose house is allegedly being staked out by the criminal fraternity is entitled to the same protection as anyone else, i.e. a visit from a crime protection officer and a victim support voluntary worker. Anything beyond that they should be billed for. If they are real celebrities they can afford it.

  Just as there are injunctions and super-injunctions (which we aren't supposed to know exist), there are celebrities who are justifiably famous for their talents and 'celebrities!' who are famous for being celebrities and whose only purpose in life is being a celebrity.
