It's Party Time again..!!
- 24 May 2008 16:072411Yes we cant let toooo long go by without another party and this time its probably more of a wake than a party as yours truly's ancient bones have finally made it to 60
Wasnt sure whether to hide the fact of this unfortunate phase in the annals of time or celebrate it. The celebration angle won through in the end as any excuse for a party is always welcome.
Yes its on next saturday at The White Horse Inn from 8pm...thats the 31st of May. All forum contributors welcome as there will be wine and food as per usual.
If the weather is good it will probably be outside in the double tier back gardens. Who can forget the picture of some of the guys there last year in their dazzlingly colourful shirts. Go for it again lads!
Various forum stars are bringing food too so its gonna be great. ColetteB knows more about all the detail and will probably add to this thread.

I wish I could be there to wish you a happy birthday and catch up with all our friends but I'm in for a hectic couple of weeks (the older I get the longer the celebrations go on for!) I'll be somewhere en route between Frinton and Nottingham!

Anyway join the club - I have to say I've had more fun since I hit 60 than I have for a long time. It's all about how old you are in your head, and I feel about 30 most of the time lol I love my life as it is now and wouldn't change it for anything. Also don't forget - 60 is the new 40 - and that's official
It will (hopefully) continue for a long time because I'm certainly not ready to resort to early nights and knitting!!

As I understand it the preparations for the Party are going well...its the wimmin that organise it all as I wouldnt have a clue..and so far they always work well. The Parties that is, not the wimmin!!
ermmm I better re-word that last statement as I have to live amongst the elongated entourage that includes multi female members..reworded statement coming up
The wimmin are great..they are in there scrubbing and scurrying with the best of them. They are down on the floor on their hands and knees and up against the wall with all guns blazing..

Us WAG's are a dab hand at delegating all that hands and knees, scrubbing and scurrying stuff to the menfolk so PaulB get your apron on lol!
