Brian, tax holds the economy back, you say!
Tax is collected to pay pensions, to pay for schools, and a few other things.
Including our security. This includes Police.
Of-course, if you say tax holds the economy back ... draw the logical conclusion.

Peter, if you want to debate policies I suggest that you don't start a thread with such a closed, leading question.
It makes it sound as if you have already made your mind up.
Here another example of a closed leading question:
Is it correct that although UKIP has policies that appeal to people who are disillusioned with the main political parties, many people support UKIP policies from a position of ignorance or bigotry?
See what I mean, it seems like by asking that question I have already made my mind up!
