must confess to joining the alliance, not chris's one though.
posh barry has formally invited me to join the "countryside alliance" sounds much more fun.
we all dress up in gaily coloured jackets and jodhpurs, climb on a horse, then once the horn is sounded we set a pack of hounds on a funny looking dog then cheer when it is torn to pieces.
all the independent alliance could offer was the odd coffee morning.

Howard I took port with posh yesterday afternoon in one of Dovers more upmarket hostelrys. He looked quite dapper in his shorts and open necked shirt. He never asked me to join his "alliance" though.

funnily enough i saw barry in town about half an hour ago, he was asking people for directions to the nearest fortnum and mason emporium.
anyway i gave his shoes a nice shine before we parted, i do wish he would apply a shoe polish that tasted better though.
