I ask this because yet again there has been a PR disaster for him. Lackies are employed by Prime Ministers to make sure that they avoid embarrassing photos, such as standing next to an exit sign.
We have been inundated by faux pas by Brown. Most recently there was the video of him now a grizzly UTube classic and much mocked, announcing his expenses initiative with that rictus grin strange gestures and odd dance like movements. Surely some aid or other would have viewed it and said no, dont do it, but of course no-one did and it was posted and greeted with great mockery.
Now, today, the most basic presentational gaff has been made, he has been photographed by the BBC surrounded by Nazi swasticas.
This is, of course, superfiscal stuff, but there are other more important manifestations that are causing him trouble. For example no-one could have advised him that he should square his expense initiative with his backbenchers first (or did they?).
Could his own people on the No10 staff be setting him up deliberately?
Maybe though they are scared to tell him the truth and say no to him because of his famous temper. He would not be the first leader to place himself in that postion, surrounded by yes men.
I find it hard to find an alternative explanation.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8033388.stmAnd I thought they just stuck the Nazi swastikas up on the wall to make him feel at home....

i think that boy dave will be getting a bit nervous, the last thing that the blue people want now is a new leader.
i remember mr kinnock openly celebrating the fine selection of knives in mrs thatcher's back.
the rest is history.

I dont get this famous temper thing with Gordon Brown. He's been an MP since 1983, was Chancellor for years and has been PM for a while now and the story about a temper has been doing the rounds from what I can see for just a few weeks and we're led to believe it is 'famous'. It's as famous and well known as the shadow cabinet and we know all their names dont we?

Sid -where have you been. Word has been out about his foul temper back when he was at No11, years ago!
Sid Pollitt
Never heard about it. BarryW you shouldnt repeat everything you read in those spin emails sent to you, didnt you learn anything from the McBride affair? Those low-lifes in the HoC, I think they are known as Tory MPs, asked questions like that in PMQs today and lowered the tone to their level. A very poor show old boy. Even the Tory leader of the HoL, what's his name Lord Billy Bunter of CreamCakes, wasnt impressed when he was on the Daily Politics show.

most politicians react under pressure, just like the rest of us, i remember mr tebbitt grabbing mr mawhinney by the throat, when the latter was running the blues general election campaign, uttering the words "you are xxxxxxx going to lose us this xxxxxxx election.

I've heard, nudge nudge wink wink, that David Cameron has a foul temper, know what I mean. The foulest. More than foul I've heard.

You've got me thinking BarryW, this stuff McBribe was saying about Tory MPs and their wives do you think there's no smoke without fire? Have you heard anything, had any emails dishing the dirt? Hopefully Cameron wont say they'll have a back to basics campaign coz we know what that led to.

You need to re read your posts, Sid is just trying to point out how childish and stupid all thius spin is, no one believes you, and as soon as he reacts in same way(sid) you go for him.
Its just levelling it up a bit, you did ask that labour people post, and he has like you have with labour MP's picked out all the troubles of the tory party(and they to have many)
At the end of the day all that happens with many of these posts is we switch even more people off voting ,,,,,,,,,,,, but thats another story

Keith - there is a big and very clearl difference.
I am discussing matters that are in the open and are quite factual, you cant get more open than Brown's U-Tube fiasco, the photos with him surrounded by swasticas and Brown's temper is commonly reported, known about and not denied.
In fact - this is not even an anti-Brown thread. I am merely querying whether someone is actually setting Brown up with some of these gaffes deliberately.
That is totally different to what Sid does.
Ignoring the sheer inannity of what he is saying he is trying to give credance to what everyone knows to be lies and sexual smeers made up by McBride. No-one has disputed that these are deliberate lies. For Sid to say what he has reflects on him and if you cannot actually see that then that is very sad.

Check out these beauties from everybody's favourite Grade A, oven-ready, fully-basted, corn-fed, cadaverous, charmless, conniving, unelected Scottish chump of the highest order.
I'm his biggest fan, as you can tell.

you are a joker, tell the truth!! you sare anti labour and despise Labour as i know Sid does the conservatives
So no real diffrence just diffrent approaches.
Far better to be open about it, thats all your doing and have every right to, but so does Sid!!!!

I am anti-Labour - I utterly detest that Party of incompetent wasters.
But this is not an anti-Labour thread (or pro-one). Read what I actually said in the first post.
I see, so you dont see the difference between making up sexual slurs about opposing politicians and their wives and reporting and discussing factual matters such as Brown's U0Tube fiasco.
Just 'A difference in approach' you say. You stand condemned by your own words.
Sid Pollitt
You're right there Keef. I wasnt making up things about Tory MPs and their wives, I dont even know the claims actually coz I dont read that type of paper or receive chain emails [as some seem to do]. But I was saying that continuously repeating made up claims like Brown has a 'famous' temper like in this thread is not so far removed, it's still black arts init.
To be fair I did say that I'd heard in the pub that Charles from Belgravia doesnt actually live in Deal and that he has numerous properties from chasing parliamentary seats and as that wasnt denied I think it can be repeated.
