Three police cars are by the BP Priory Service station in Folkestone Road. Apparently some kind of incident?
EDIT: make that four cars and a van.

I must have gone past roughly the same time as the photo was taken, the chap there was giving a witness statement.

I have just read the following on Facebook..............
" 2 young lads walked in mc donalds and hit a 5-6yr old girl with the door (presumably by accident) they then proceded to intimidate the father who rung the police, the lads then ran off to BP petrol station"...............

That doesn't seem very likely with at least 4 police cars and an ambulance attending the petrol station.

It does seem a bit over kill for such a seemingly trivial incident. A large number of cars seems to be the norm for any event during the day, while at night time not one responds. I am thinking of the recent break in at Charlton Centre when the police did not appear until nearly an hour later even though the group of youngsters still hovered around for a while.

The response will have been in reaction to the original call. Can't win really can they.

Four cars and a van.
Our faithful newshound checked at the garage - they said that incident was not connected to them, which seems to be true.

I don't think that there has been any criticism of police persons, much more about their political masters. We have had many false dawns where we were told that they were listening to local concerns and would act accordingly. The commander appointed a year or two back actually lived up to his promise and the town during the daytime is fairly free of drunken and anti social behaviour. Unfortunately resources get ever more scarce resulting in there not being enough officers to respond to night time offences.

In response to Jacqui constant digs at anything Vic posts, if followed your advise don't criticise until you're perfect yourself, we should all have to stop expressing our views and opinions and never question or challenge our political betters, that would also mean not being able to vote as not voting for someone would be a criticism. Unless of course it's only me that's not perfect!!!
