07:5880237If politics is the last refuge of the scoundrel then this programme is the last refuge of the D list Celeb. By now, the celeb in question, has already been out of work for a prolonged period and this is worrying for him/her. No cash coming in to speak of, and besides, they have this addiction to being in the public eye and it is not being fulfilled. Grab any chance at exposure therefore.
They are as a consequence likely to snap up very quickly any opportunity to appear on this famous Im a Celeb show, it pays very well indeed.. being very mainstream, the only downside is that you might be required to eat Kangaroo Testicles as part of the process.
However the D lister will take any kind of humiliation so long as he/she gets that few minutes in the limelight.
Now I rarely watch these popular shows...Strictly has bypassed me, the XFactor Ive never seen, but yes as regular as yearly clockwork I tune into this dogs breakfast... probably for my sins, but also Im not averse to watching Jordan and the likes of, soaping themselves up in the early morning stream which seems to be a regular ingredient. Well it doesnt hurt the viewing figures.
This time around there are a whole gaggle of so called Celebs Ive never clapped eyes on. But three leap off the page to me, the rest I dont know from adam...Linford Christie sprinter, Nigel Havers actor, and dear ol Lempit Opik one time politician...yes clearly the last refuge of the D list politician in his instance.
The others are a mystery, what made them Celebs has passed me by, or is it just that the producers are scraping the proverbial barrel. The show has run for a long time and is beginning to look tired formatwise....and Celebs worth their salt are I expect side-stepping it.
But nevertheless I shall carry on watching in the offchance it can deliver something it hasnt delivered before. And we all like to see Celebs fall on their asses, even two bit asses!

08:0780239We've never watched it and don't intend to - the trailers for it are bad enough.
We're lucky that on most TV programns we like the same ones - apart from Jean doen't like Sci-Fi.

07:5680397lol!
Already in the jungle nerves are on edge. Lempit Opik, one time politician and cheeky girl escort, is proving to be a monster irritant for suave actor Nigel Havers.
"I cant beleive that guy was an MP for 13 years as he talks utter b*ll*cks all the time. Can you beleive people ever voted for him" grumbles Nigel over the campfire.
An explosion is imminent. I myself have always found Lempit an amusing guy, a good television chatter even while a politician, sadly frollicking with the cheeky girls put paid to his career in Westminster, as no serious politician while representing his constituents should ever appear to be having a better time than his constituents. Cardinal sin...clearly he needs flogging...probably by a cheeky girl and probably on television.

09:5380424I find that Gillian woman damn annoying i hope she gets the boot . She is afraid of everything and wont do most tasks yet quite happily handles human feaces to dictate how to live and things to eat, get my goodness just eat the bugs Gillian or get out you waste of space. lol

10:0280426I don't watch this stuff - I saw the bit where Opik let Havers fall in some water as the kids were watching it! But I am certain Havers opinion of him is accurate - I have always found him particularly and irritatingly dense whenever he was on TV as a politician, lacking any of the necessary charm or articulacy needed to impress a voting public, so I am with Havers: what on earth made people vote for such a eejit??!!

10:4480433I'm A Celebrity and Big Brother are just not my kind of programme so never watch them, a bit like I never read Hello or OK magazines, fodder for the brain dead.

12:3080462paul is enduring great suffering in order that we know exactly what is going on but do not have to switch on and watch it ourselves.

13:3780470Yes indeed Howard you are right, I am suffering greatly for my art, and am willing to continue watching in order to push out the boundaries of far flung reporting, so that I can keep my eye on the further exploits of Nigel Havers and Lempit Opik and Uncle Tom Cobley and all. Well the poor oul D listers have to get a bit of coverage.

20:1081218A few million other like it as well Howard, otherwise i t would get taken off and I have to confess I watch it as my wife likes it but then I get told off because I am normally fast asleep long before the end.

What I find more amusing is millions spend money on phone calls to the programme.
I have to agree though with Melissa, why that Gillian is in there, she knew what is involved but is scared of her own shadow in case it creeps up on her let alone have a few bugs drop down..
