There have been a few political April Fools - one being a hilarious Labour election poster.
For me the funniest was an advert placed in The Guardian by the 'Department of Waste' boasting about its achievements over the last 13 years increasing waste in Government departments. What is funny is that the Grauniad just did not seem to notice it was a spoof.
The ad was actually placed by Conservative Campaign HQ. It is very funny, quoting a Government Minister 'Mr Robbin Ewe' and alongside the ad they produced a short video, fronted by this Minister.

There is also a link on that page to the spoof Labour poster produced by the Guardian. That is also funny but without a serious message.
It is good to see a sense of humour in politics, may we have more of this.
