  While at work today a Lady came to the window and said I don't know if you can help me I want to make a complaint! I asked what her problem was and she told me this story,I have left names out for obvious reasons but this is one of the reason Tourist don't return.
  
  The lady told me she was staying in a place in Folkestone Road and when she went in she didn't like the facilities and told the man she wasn't going to stay there,he said 'well you will have to pay for it' which the lady said she would but then claimed the man assualted her.I was dumbfounded.
  
  I told the lady to go to the Police station but if she could to tell the Visitors Information Centre as well and she went after I pointed out to her that the place was relatively new.
  
  I then called the Tourist Office,and let DDC know and then contacted Visit Kent and told them.
  
  You will have noticed I haven't said where but it is a new place and find it difficult to describe what it is,it is not a Bed and Breakfast,or Hotel or Pub....the rest you can work out.
  
  This lady will go back to the States and tell people what a bad time she had in Dover and they will tell all thier friends and none of them will come to Dover,but if 1 person helped them or gave them advice they would have told thiere friend and so on....
  
  Next time you see a tourist wandering around the Town looking lost or trying to read a map, just say can I help you and that little help may have made the holiday and would make them praise Dover.You always remember helpful people on your travels.
