Insert image > upload file > browse > upload > read what it says in the coloured text boxes and act upon it, and hey presto!

No probs, PS.
Actually, because I use Linux Chris had to take me through the process, speaking loudly and slowly.
(I think he was trying to tell me something??)

Pauline,
Another reason why you are having problems, as I did, is that the images, straight from the camera, may be too big and need to resized downwards. Whatever prog you use for doing your photos will help you with this.

On the few occasions I've gone to post pictures I've found that too Phil - is there a maximum size (in either pixels or by file size) that we need to consider here?

I did crop the seagull photo but didn't then downsize so all seems ok. Many thanks to all for advice.

Whenever I post photos I try resize them to 1000 pixels wide. That seems large enough.

Does anyone know how to delete photos from folders on the forum? I've managed to upload a photo that is upside down! Still getting to grips with my new iPad.....

Kevin, just go back to your post, press edit & delete image

Thanks, Colette. The problem I have is with the downloading folder not the post itself. I was wondering if there is a way to clear all the photos in the download folder?

Me too. I tried to follow Collette's advice and found I only had the option to re-post my files so they are still sitting there.

Kevin on the former version of the forum if you cleared all the photos from the folder they went off the forum itself too..so it was a big no-no.Threads would be left picture free.
Chris has made further major update changes since then though, so am not sure myself how it would work now.
Caution might be the watchword on this until Chris can get on.

I've just added a file manager (which can be found via the top menu, under Your Account) - it's basically a larger version of the box that appears when you upload/post a photo, but it also allows you to delete files.
But as mentioned above, you should really only delete files if you uploaded them by mistake or know for sure that they're not included in any forum posts - otherwise topics will start having big gaps appear in them!
