i am sure that our members will have tales to tell about helping out vulnerable neighbours during the current inclement weather.
i heard one just now, posh barry let all of his downstairs staff sleep inside the house last night as there was insufficient straw in the stables to keep them all warm.
adversity sometimes brings out such acts of kindness.

He'll be letting them muck out up to twice a week before long. Is he getting soft?

Well the chauffeur must have been given the day off because I saw Barry walking along Castle St earlier. Another act of generosity!

no doubt barry will be taken advantage of due to his natural acts of kindness.
i understand he will be throwing a wishbone at them on christmas day so that they will be part of the festivities.

I do what I can to 'spread' a little bit of human kindness, twice a week is going a bit too far methinks.
You're a hardy man Peter, out in your shirtsleeves in this inclement weather, Good to see you
Let us just say that it begins with an 's' (not Scrooge though), I'm not saying anything about the 3rd & 4th

Just one little complaint Barry Sir.
the next time I sleep downstairs on your floor, could you brush away the rock salt as it plays havoc with the whelt marks on my back.
P.S thanks for the bin liners, snuggled up in them it saved me having a bath.

ian
newspapers are best for keeping warm when sleeping rough, a gentleman like barry would supply you with a copy of the financial times as a gesture of his magnanimity.

No way Howie, the financial times are all in the toilet.

All balderdash of course, whoever this Mc D is

I make a point of serving the staff myself (with a little help of course) with a full Christmas Dinner, Father Christmas gives them all a present afterwards, after they've cleared everything away of course

Yes tough times indeed for the upper classes. It seems now, what with all the snow, that pheasant, grouse, and bird shooting generally has had to be curtailed, as it appears according to bulletins on the steam propelled wireless, that its too easy to kill the poor feathered blighters in these conditions. They are listless cold hungry and their fat levels are low...ermm Im talking about the birds here!
This is not a legal ban, not as yet, but the gentlemen of old England have agreed to do the gentlemanly thing and not shoot the poor critters at the moment. There's just not enough 'sport' in it.
So what Barry W-S is going to do at the weekends I just dont know
