  PaulB's history lesson says quite a lot about how forums evolve over time. Some forums grow like wildfire while others die off fairly quickly - as I found with Dour Forum not so long ago; but it was only meant as a stop-gap while Dover Forum had a rest.
  
  As the days lengthen into Autmn and Winter and users begin spending more time indoors I think the number of postings here will pick up. I've certainly noticed this phenomenon with the biker's forum I run.
  
  I think it would be a shame, therefore, to cull this Member Club area based solely on how often it is posted to in the short term. Even taking into consideration the purile comments from some members the bulk of the postings here are intelligent and informative. We are all capable of ignoring the odd bit of sillyness that creeps in.
  
  While I may not be the most frequent of visitors of late I would hope that the Boss would keep this area alive until such time as it dies a natural death.
