12:4478590Hi
The People's Port was on the front the week before and pages 8 and 9 give more room to report on what happened. Riverside are on the front because we have launched a Xmas appeal to help give them a really good Xmas party. I think Dover pensioners are just as worthy of the front page as the MP don't you?

12:4778594Yes I thought that too and the tiny box on frontpage said Port Storm. I looked inside to see where the storm was but then realised there wasnt any..it was all on here!! lol
I see that young whippersnapper Howard McSweeney was quoted, he gets in everywhere. But although Im pulling their leg there, I always enjoy the newspapers.
The Mercury had it all on the frontpage with a nice picture of Dame Vera. But our roving photographers won the day. We had some of the very best pictures thanks to you guys the members. And we put young Ian Lillfords one on the frontpage as it was the cracker above.

13:1978605For the last time Its a Christmas Eve party .Whilst some of us are into politics I do wonder at our local press .Not one reporter at our Full Council meeting .For heavens sake there are many important issuies at stake .Peoples jobs on the line etc .
Im pleased the D/E published a story re our older residents but not to go over board .My job is to ensure the grants for Riverside still come in and we provide a good service .our clients are not oldies just over a certain age .We provide warmth, good food and friendship . At this time It is important to ensure money is spent wisely .

19:1178690For Sue... Christmas Eve party. No-one was at full council because the most interesting thing on the agenda was in the pink. Incidentally I worked Saturday, Monday night and Tuesday night. I am allowed to go home and see my family sometimes.
Howard, I'm still debating the sausage roll issue!!

19:1878696i thought that all parties during the christmas season were christmas parties?
office parties and the like are well short of the big day, in fact i have never been invited to a party on christmas day.
most people are slumped in front of the box from late afternoon until bed time.

i read your post 11 very quickly and done a double take, i thought it said "you would be gang banged by dubris".
i feel sure that yam, rhys and kathy would not countenance such a thing.

23:1078726does this mean that i will not get served a milky drink from you on christmas eve kathy?
i have already given up age concern, thought you would have been less aggressive than them.
