06:3069887The numbers are scary Bob; I just hope they can get a grip on improving the quality of people allowed in - those who are qualified, who will be paying taxes and learning (if they don't already have it) English.
For too long we've allowed the dregs of the world and all sorts of criminals and gangs to come here; I'd hate to find out I'm sure, what the percentage of our prisons is filled with overseas criminals.
Genuine refugees are hard to find in the U.K. now - they shouldn't be coming here anyway, as we don't have any countries in conflict, on our borders; if we do allow them to stay, they must be tied to certain conditions.

The latest figures shows that there are 12,000 foreigners in UK Prisons representing 14% of the total prison population.
Hope that helps it was unclear whether that figure including those failed asylum seekers currently held in Home Office Immigration detention Centres.

07:1169891Thanks Marek.
I suppose turning that round, 86% of our prisoners are "home-grown"
Have a good day.
