22:0192234I am seriously working towards my firearms certificate for deer stalking at the moment, it is not easy to gain one, but that is how it should be. To be one of the only posters to answer Mareks original post i hope its a load of political spin put out by the reds. Having spoken to a firearms dealer and gamekeeper this is the first they have heard of it. It is not feasible at all.

12:3793147Marek, it was on the news this morning, if I heard correctly, the government have told the police they must visit homes before renewing gun licences.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

12:4993151yes jan
to save money some police forces had decided to not visit premises/houses but to do it all over the phone
of course this would have been a disaster and thankfully theres been a change of heart

13:0993161i think that the force was playing a bit of a political game with the government, trying to get their message out about funding cuts.
