Indeed I did Howard, & saw his exclusive guarded bungalow estate [monitored by an array of CCTV] suitably, gated & walled .
I fought his former NUM personnel chief Mick Clapham. We got on well & have met since.
Great experience, lovely people.

So back to the point, how trade union leaders live & conduct themselves whilst their members pay for this excess.

if they lead their members well fighting for pay, conditions, sick pay and pensions, all well and good then they deserve their salary packages.
sadly not always the case as we have seen in the past.
