Yes interesting one Neil...but isnt it like pulling teeth, one piece at a time, only for another 6 months and then we wait all over again.

Sandys "Delighted" High-Speed Rail Services Set to Continue
Laura Sandys has said that she is delighted with the decision that will ensure that high-speed train services continue to serve Sandwich for at least the next six months.
Laura said "There was a real concern that we might lose our high-speed train service to Sandwich and Deal so Charlie Elphicke MP and I have been making it very clear to the Department for Transport just how important the high-speed trains are to local residents and businesses. We have been working extremely hard to ensure that this valuable service is protected
"I am very pleased that we now have confirmation that the javelin trains will keep running for the next six months but we want this to continue in the long term so I was particularly glad that the Rail Minister, Stephen Hammond MP, said that he is also "keen to see this vital route continue". I will be pushing hard to make sure that this does happen."
