The shame of it is that there are so many people out there in climateland who are finding their basic core belief in ruins. Rather like the child who wakes up one day and discovers there is no Father Christmas there is a period similar to mourning - a realization that calls into question other childish beliefs long held since early years.
But this is good. This is how humans develop. They learn. They learn about themselves from introspection and critical analysis and become stronger and much more broad minded.
Unfortunately the mindset of, say, the politically liberal or left of centre means that this process takes alot longer to manifest itself.
Until central office, Miliband for labour and Clegg for the liberals eventually own up to their own naivety and admit that they were as gullible as everyone else in terms of the climate scare grass root supporters will carry on believing.
You can see the difference on the right where although Cameron still clings to the cult's core basic tenets there is widespread opposition to his thinking from the lower ranks.
It's all about pragmatism versus dogma.
