Was reading earlier that a chap called Ed Sheeran would be one of the headline acts this coming Summer along with Radiohead and one other. I had heard the name but that is about all so I logged on to You Tube to listen to some of his arias. Must admit I was very impressed, turns out he is English, writes his own songs and plucks a guitar after a fashion but he reminded me of Bruce Springsteen with his lyrics. Must be Brexit bringing out the best in our talent.

If I had tickets, I'd leave early Sunday to avoid the rush!

Sorry to say you have been taken in Karlos. That line up's about as real as my username
It's someone's predictions (from what's out there on the rumour mill. Some of the headliners for other stages may be correct) with some jokes thrown in.
The only acts confirmed by Glastonbury are the three Pyramid Stage headliners and Kris Kristofferson.
Wyld Stallyns to open West Holts? I'd buy a ticket just to see Bill and Ted play. They may bring important people from musical history to play with them.

Good to see Radiohead and Mr Sheeran but not that keen on those Foo Fighter chaps. Might have been better if they had coaxed that Buddy holly out of retirement.

I would love to see one of our great UK lady singers Miss Elkie Brooks still going round the shows with that great voice she has,

I must admit that being an old codger I haven't heard of most of the lineup.
Clean Bandit I do know however, you may know the tune!

I think it was attending the above show (possibly an earlier year) that first inspired Sir Michael of Eavis (as he should be known) to do something similar on his farm.

At the Bath Blues Festival I stumbled into the film tent where they were showing movies. The film seemed incredibly grainy.
It was only when the credits came up and I realised they were back-to-front that I worked out I was sitting behind the screen all on my own.
My carer and I also went to Mr Eavis' 1971 extravaganza travelling in my 3 wheeler Messerschmitt and ended up taking tea around his kitchen table with the late Arabella Churchill and others.
For various reasons my recollection of the whole event is again rather hazy but I can remember the PA playing Dirty Business by the NRPS as we drove away as though it was yesterday! Happy days. No left turn un-stoned.

Great film tent story
Where was your carer during this?
I also have a "The time I met Michael Eavis and (I'm pretty sure it was/must have been) Arabella Churchill" anecdote.
The Astrolabe. Glastonbury 2004. He/They sat down next to me! (It's the location that makes me think that it must have been Arabella with him. As you may know she basically invented and continued always to curate the theatre area of the festival).
For me, it was a truly surreal and hilarious conversation and situation, but this is neither the time nor the place for that tale. That would be indiscreet. He was extremely open and candid. I may have been a bit of a dick.
I really must get around to writing that tale down somewhere for posterity reasons. It's more one for an after dinner anecdote and it's certainly not safe for telling in front of the children (lots and lots and lots of audience participation swearing owing to the act).

It's an odd thing but people often get tongue-tied when they meet their heroes.
I normally just talk to them for a while until they calm down a bit.

Read the other day that the album "Ok Computer" by Radiohead has reached its 20th anniversary and is still considered by many critics to be the best rock album of all time. Can't say I disagree and look forward to seeing them on the box at Glastonbury which I believe is now all sold out.

The tickets do tend to go rather quickly, even before any of the acts are announced:

Been following proceedings this evening and as for "Elbow" I would gladly have given them that although they did improve towards the end despite the best efforts of their lead singer.
Thankfully "Radiohead" are now saving the evening with songs old and new as the late Max Bygraves would have put it.
