It's not so much that it's an empty building, but that it has the same (Business-rate) classification as if it wasn't there and yet as some one else pointed out, the owners are receiving thousands of pounds from the masts without any expense (not paying business rates, or responsibility) whatsoever.
Even if it isn't knocked down in 5 minutes, surely it is right that the owners should pay Business Rates ? That's hardly a level playing field for local businesses is it ? and if they do end up paying business rates, it's less of an advantage to them, not to have it knocked down.
Sign up Vic - you know it makes sense; surely you can see it is unfair the owners do not pay business rates.
