what would they be doing in dover, there were two that i saw at the junction of malvern road and clarendon street about 1440 hours using their car bonnet to write things down.
a largish crowd of onlookers gave their opinions too.

The French Police at the Docks (PAF) travel in uniform to to and from the Tunnel at the beginning and end of their shifts, they are not Gendarmerie though.

A couple of Gendarmerie Maritime launches have appeared in Dunkerque West, tied up adjacent to the DFDS berths. Also there are a lot of extra police scrutinising incoming traffic and they have taken over the top floor of the building used by the mooring gang.

I think a lot f posters have missed the point of my earlier post
that howard through his photos etc has become an international star and no longer can g4s be good enough for him(or anyone lol)
so he is guarded not only by the uk secret service, police etc
but now further afield

Some more photos of the Gendarmerie Maritime launches and RIB which are stationed at Dunkerque West for the Olympics and accompany the ferries in and out each trip. Final one is the ETV (Emergency Towing Vessel) Abeille Languedoc which has been anchored off the coast between Calais and Dunkerque.
