It was the dog that did it

but surely he should be congratulated for paying less tax than he should

good one martin, i remember when he was in charge at west ham, they sold rio ferdinand to leeds for £.18 million and he never complained that he was not given anything of it to spend on players.
by coincidence when the accounts were published there was an ex gratia payment made to him.

I love Harry but the odds look stacked against him here, just as Spurs have their best team for 50 years

he must be the best english manager around by a mile but will never get the england job, the press would have a field day dragging up his business activities.
the same when terry venables was up for the job.

i wonder how deep the "bung" culture is?
alan sugar was quoted in court as saying "cloughie likes a bung", and leeds and england manager don revie was being investigated over bribes prior to his death.
he was known in the game as don readies.

harry has been telling the courts today he would rather pay more tax than get into any problems.
i think barry should have a word in his shell like.

"rather pay more tax than get into any problems"
He should save that for the pre-sentencing talks.
I remember him being rather irate and 'barking' at a reporter that had the temerity to beard him about his finances. This may have been shortly before his lad got into a bit of 'soapy', as we call it.

What are you lot like? Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Harry is innocent, totally innocent and justice has been done - so maybe there should be some eating of words in Dover tonight!
Well done Harry - so pleased with the result - a nice guy proved so by the British justice system

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

Having followed the reports from the court daily on twitter I would have been amazed if the jury had convicted either man, the eight million pounds wasted on the case would have been better used in trying to collect some of the billions that the big companies owe!

Martin, I agree with you.
What a waste of public money to get at the most £80k at top rate of tax.
It does not add up.
