Howard you certainly have a weird sense of humour at times, I doubt if Lesley would find that comment very funny.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Might be an idea to set up a 'tattoo bank', just in case some of the unemployed with 3 kids and one on the way and both smoking haven't got enough tattoos. Or maybe we could start up a 'bigot bank', where we could drop in a load of uninformed opinions and take one or two out when we need a knee jerk comment to put on the forum in response to a post about the unemployed or immigrants. Or perhaps you could stop and think how stupid you sound before you post. (no, I am not on benefits, just in case you think this is a defensive post, but I do have children, tattoos and a mobile phone)

Anything to do with Murdoch should be banished to the fiery pits of hell, along with all his cronies.

Also I like a joke the same as the next person but I do not think talking about a foodbank and this is how it started is to be joked about we have at this very time English familys siting around a table with kids and not food to eat some do not have heating etc and even if some of their mums and dads are like the ones you are talking about the kids cannot help it and they are the ones without food.

Thank you for saying that it helps. But the UK looks after all the public that come in to the uk but not our own as I said we must look after our own first if not in the end no one gets looked after.

With Winter days looming the plight of many can only get worse, do we really need to pay pensioners a Winter fuel allowance, free bus passes and enhanced tax allowances?
Heating allowance is paid out regardless of income and location ; even to ex pats in warmer climes.
Bus passes, if you must issue them, should be restricted to travel in the issuing authorities area, which would save Taxpayers who live in popular holiday destinations a considerable amount of tax, as the shortfall in Government funding is met out of LA funds
If you can afford a holiday, then you should be able to pay for your own travel.

Do nothing and nothing happens.

the heating allowance has to be looked at especially for those that have moved to where it is a lot warmer.
with regard to means testing this could actually cost more to implement than just keeping it as a universal benefit.

Not really Howard, cut it out altogether! Forgot to mention the free TV licence for the over 75's.
