As if the state of Folkestone etc was not enough, flytipping has reared it's ugly head in Westbury, or more to the point, between Westbury Rd and Longfield. This is the third 'dumping' in recent weeks and again it has taken place on the footpath between the two roads, behind the carages and the allotments. In the past I have reported the tipping to the council who have cleared it away in a matter of a day or two, and I trust they will do so again, but my point is why is it being done in the first place and by who? and what can be done to stop it happening again? Answers on a postcard please!
I would have added a picture but the computermebob it says no!

What it consists of and how it is 'packaged' would tell you something about it's origins and the reason why it is disposed of in this way.

Welcome to the forum, Phil. I think you should stake out the area and machine-gun the miscreants.

Well done Sheila.
Phil - I am one of the District Councillors for this ward, if you would like to sen the photos to me as an email attachment, I'll also send them to Waste Services.
Are you able to let us know the kind of fly-tipping rubbish it was ?
I notice that the KCC waste site at Whitfield are introducing greater restrictions and charges on certain types of waste and this will only lead to an increae in fly-tipping: can't imagine what those KCC Councillors are thinking of !

Phil would be good if we could see a picture..just make sure the size is below 2MB and it will pop up easily enough. In almost all cases when they wont pop up its because they are beyong the 2MB.
Great pity about this flytipping yet again..especially awful in a weekend where people everywhere have been cleaning up..see the f/page re Shakespeare beach for example.

garden waste is the biggest fly tipping problem now since the charge for collection came into force.

This time the rubbish is a number of black and purple sacks containing general household waste, it has been placed in the very same place as last time, I try again to add a photo.
Thanks all!
Sorry, I can't get my images to upload, all I am getting is a great long code number that means nothing to me!

You have to copy and paste the code number in the comment box, Phil.
Only if it says: upload successful, though.

Who thought that my first picture to be published on the forum would be a load of rubbish!
Talking of rubbish, it's still there as I write.

Well done Phil..your first picture is definitely a load of old rubbish. Or perhaps more accurately following Sheila's post.. a load of new rubbish.

took this 15 mins ago in the alleyway between clarendon street and place, much tidier than phil's rubbish.
we could now promote priory ward as a dormitory suburb i suppose, would put a few bob on the house prices.

someone went to a great deal of trouble here, through the cut off car park up 2 flights of steps then placed it on the ground.

Just to confirm that the picture of the rubbish was taken on 17/09/12 at 10.11hrs, and that the rubbish is still there. I have reported it to the Castle St offices and given them a set of prints. I'll let you know when it has been cleared away. Thanks for the warm welcome from Peter G and Terry N, maybe I will see some of you at the parade tomorrow as I am covering the flypast etc for a well known magazine.
