Back when the first Armed Forces Day happened several years ago, we were told by the MoD who grant funded the Hellfire Corner Association to hold the official AFD event in Dover to contact DDC about the flag raising ceremony as we should be involved. I therefore emailed the Chairman's secretary at the time and never did get a reply.
I have not bothered since.
Did DDC not miss a trick or were they simply being 'territorial' over this in some way?
