I'll get my tin hat on and say I still agree with Keith!
Yes Ed, we've had cruises from Dover where there was just one ship in and service was generally excellent. The problem is when there's more than one ship in then staff seem to be stretched and shore-side space for cars, taxis and coaches is limited.
Also when we were diverted the sea was coming over the Admiralty pier and drenching the passengers' cars parked there - some very angry owners of very expensive cars being hosed down by staff but there's nothing that can be done about that given the geography of the harbour.
