  I do wonder how many of you posting on here lived through the War ?My Uncle was a Prisoner of War for four years he had to march right through Poland .I gather they were sometimes able to eat a few turnips .My Father in Law was in the Burma Jungel .That just about finished his lungs off as before the war he was a Tin Minor /He returned home to find his wife had died leaving two young sons .
  I can recall the air raids my Mother always had a look of terror on her face ,..We used to lie under the kitchen table for protection .Windows blacked out .Too scared to go outside to make our way to the toilet .
