15:1381621I don't have anything nice or good to say about the EU, but I reserve my right to continue to say it.
At least Brian, my arguments against the EU are founded upon common sense and sound argument, your support of it seems to be just blind faith (wasn't that a super-group of the 70s ?)

15:4381628Quite right Roger.
Brian though is only folowing the lead from his precious EU. That particular organisation is not keen on people critisising it either and seek to stop crisism instead of addressing the issues.

15:4781629barryw/roger,you will find all issues are adressed and the apropiet action taken on a day to day bases.the bigger issues are debated then acted apon.unlike sucsesive goverments here who seem to like sitting on fences.

18:2681664I have just signed an online petition with the Daily Express to get our Country out of the European Union. Last week I signed a petition launched by MP's to get Britain out of the European Union, and many months ago I signed a UKIP petition to get Britain out of the European Union.
All these petitions ask for a referendum on the European Union, to prove that it will be a democratic process.
The Daily Express is now launching a Crusade to free our Country!
My moto is: Britain and Democracy Britain and Freedom!
Sign up for a new Era of Democracy and Freedom and Prosperity! Your Country needs you

18:4881668petitions won't have any effect alex, only the actions of our elected politicians would bring about a referendum.
cannot see that happening with the present government.
might be better to watch the whole thing implode, certainly cheaper that way.

19:1281671Petitions are indeed a waste of time.

19:2881674I agree that in most cases they are a waste of time, but if 50 million people signed it, it must mean something - mustn't it ?

20:0581687however large the petition is they would still put a piece of string through it and hang it where it would be of use.
the decision makers would like further integration not withdrawal.

21:5981706That means we are laughing, because when MP's are in it, then it won't be long, and the eu will be gone!

22:3581707sorry to say this alex but they are playing to the gallery, they know full well that there will be no referendum.
this is purely an exercise of making voters think that they care.
