 - Lets hope Paul This is the case, im sure the developers will have done there homework on the selling of these houses and confident enough to do so.

We was told some years back the high speed train was going to change Dover, as warned didn't turn out to be the case.

 - Yes, quite. The jobs issue didn't stop all those new houses at Hawkinge being sold. - I'm an optimist. But I'm an optimist who takes my raincoat - Harold Wilson

Different times, massif lending for buy to let investments

Would be interesting to see the numbers for housing benefit payments on these new projects.

Maybe we will see large amounts of ex Londoners selling up there old counsel house flats for big bucks and moving south.

 - Keith - this isn't green belt land. This is a former industrial site, previously used for the Channel Tunnel construction village and with roads left over from previous use of the site.

And there was me thinking that social housing was a core issue for socialists, one that they had long campaigned for?

So let it be for industry and jobs and let the housing go to Whitfield with the schools

Better to have industry on the transport links

Theirs social housing and social housing, if you expect people to work for £6 ph they need housing rents to be around £40 p/w not £100 + toped up on housing benefits from the taxpayers ,

The present system is just helping to enrich privet landlords supposedly supplying social affordable homes.

 - It never surprises me when planners give way to developers - and so it continues... there seems to be no land which is protected these days... the Channel Tunnel workers' village was surely a temporary affair... - ---------------------------------------------------

 Fairplay and democracy

This is probably why you will have me supporting justice for the poor that want to do the right thing, and attacking the greedy misusing taxpayer's cash. And loading the dice agent's the citizens to enrich themselves

In ukip we call it common-sense

It's not all black and white

ps. Your supposedly socialist labour party is supporting green EU taxes that will push up electricity bill by 20% that will push the poor over the edge.

 - Hi Keith b
Remember before all this gets clouded
 im just replying to posts.

Its good that you lookout for the poor and should be applauded but I do question if UKIP has the ability or people to change things, or even if it wants to.

Back on the thread, it is a little surprizing ex Cllr Richardson would probably benefit from the added houses or family members would.

But It will change the face of that area
