A friend at college with me had one with a twin Villiers engine like the matchless one above - Imagine him and I squeezed into it - we didnt go on long journeys!!

Getting back to the title - I regret that in my younger days I must have run over a few polar bears... I was looking at my old log that I used to keep and noticed the number of times that I had to decoke, change oil, renew clutches on my many vehicles over the years. also how bad the fuel consumption was. Even my mini was doing no more than 33mpg and 25 was normal.

Cars are so much more reliable with 100,000 miles being normal when 40 years ago it would be scrap. What I am concerned about is that older cars are kept running as every new car uses so many trees to make. Also i am getting paranoid about fuel consumption so I first look at that when buying. I use LPG or diesel now.
