In line with the newly issued EU directive that member states should fly the EU flag and so as not to incur any fimancial penalty falling upon the Dover Forum I have done my bit by flying a revised version of the flag and how it will probably be in 5 years. Hope you all like it.
Now all forumites renown for their good singing voices, best left forward forward and after me " We'll keep the Blue flag flying here"

Actually Marek, joking apart, that EU flag has got to be one of the most dull and boring example`s ever created. The mere sight of it create`s a passion of hate for Brussel`s to me. Can someone tell me why?

I think your dislike of the flag is that since the Norman times these islands have fought (WW1 & 2) to retain their sovereignty and some feel that is now being lost to Brussels.

Naah... I ain't goin' to fall for that one, Howard! Naah, won't be dragged into another e.u. fight! But I certainly cheer from the spectators seats when I see the e.u. feathers going up in the arena! Keep it up, Marek!

Brian - The Euro is a millstone around the necks of many EU countries, Spain, Ireland, Greece, Portugal and Italy. The collapse of that currency would free their economies and spur a recovery after some intial shocks.
The £sterling being free to float against other currencies has spread the burden of the recession taking some of the strain in a way that those aforesaid countries could not benefit.
